An exciting new project for developing seaweed based plastic/paper replacement has been funded by the Israel Innovation Authority!!!. The project is done in collabpration with Prof. Dan Lewitus' group from Shenkar College. We propose a sustainable and degradable replacemnet for plastic or paper based packaging material. More to come...
This week our institute is hosting students from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Faculty of Agriculture. The students do mini-research sessions covering various topics in mariculture.
Our students explored the effects of environmental stress on phenolic compounds metabolism in red and green seaweeds.
